International Accreditation

As an internationally accredited institute, Maximo Nivel must adhere to strict codes of practice and maintain the highest professional standards. Accreditation by an external educational body is vital to verify that your program is run by a professional organization.

International Accreditation

Ministries of Education

Maximo Nivel programs are accredited by the Ministries of Education in Guatemala and Peru and we are required to go through a re-accredition process every three years.

California State University-Monterey Bay

California State University-Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is Maximo Nivel’s official School of Record. Through CSUMB, we offer credit-bearing courses for Spanish, Volunteer Abroad, Service Learning, and International Internships.

A School of Record is an accredited institution that vouches for the academic quality and standards for programs completed overseas. The School of Record awards the university credit and issues the official transcript for the coursework completed abroad. This credit can then be transferred to the student’s home university.

Professional Associations

We are a Global Associate member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators; we are recognized for Bildungsurlaub in Germany; we are a member of the Association of Language Travel Organizations (ALTO); and we are a certifying organization for the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Bildungsurlaub Approved

For our German students, all levels of our Native Spanish Program are approved by the German government for use under Bildungsurlaub. This special government program allows German employees to take a leave of absence from work to take part in professional training (such as language study) and have their classes paid by their employer. Maximo Nivel is recognized for Bildungsurlaub in Berlin, Rhineland Pfalz, Hessen, Saarland, and Brandenburg. If you’re a German student interested in taking part in this program, please contact us.
