Our campus is located right in the historical center of the city, only 3 blocks from Cusco’s Plaza de Armas and right across the street from Q’oricancha—the Temple of the Sun and the most sacred site in the Inca empire! The institute is always teeming with international and local students enjoying the large common areas, WiFi, and onsite snack bar, which means lots of opportunities to practice your Spanish!

Maximo Nivel takes the academic success of our students very seriously. We evaluate each student’s motivation for the program and their academic history. This helps to ensure a productive and successful cohort experience for everyone in Peru.

– At least 18 years of age
– Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s degree program
– Academically prepared for university level work
– Proficient in the English language
– Positive mindset; ready to live and study internationally
– Minimum GPA 2.50

The teachers are very professional and well prepared. The staff is very friendly and always available to offer support and answer questions. The school environment is very positive and upbeat. Also the location in Cusco is excellent, very close to many amenities: restaurants, shopping, bars, cafes: you can walk everywhere. UNIVERSITY SPANISH COURSES

Maximo Nivel has a variety of university courses to meet students’ Spanish learning objectives. 100 to 400 level courses are available in small group classes and 1-on-1 private classes. Medical Spanish, Spanish for Business, remedial tutoring, and other Spanish programs for specific purposes are offered on as needed basis.

You might think you are coming to Cusco just for the culture and history, but with Maximo Nivel’s university Spanish courses you get much more. Peru is one of the world’s richest countries in terms of natural resources. However, its social development has not kept pace with its commercial development, and Peruvians still wrestle with illiteracy and basic social justice. Peru is a safe country, but visitors are often taken aback by the tremendous differences in socioeconomic levels and lack of access to education and healthcare.

Peru works hard at self-improvement, making it an ideal place for international students to get involved in service learning programs and learn first hand about a myriad of social issues, and important concepts like justice, responsibility, and  sustainability.
